How to Verify Your Identity
There are two main ways to complete the verification:
1. Direct Verification with Companies House
You can use GOV.UK One Login. This involves uploading ID documents such as your passport. Therefore, verification is quick, digital, and linked directly to your Companies House record.
2. Verification Through an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP)
From 18 March 2025, authorised professionals will be able to act as ACSPs. These include:
- Solicitors
- Accountants
- Company formation agents
- Governance professionals
Moreover, ACSPs must follow the same standards as Companies House. In other words, the process is equally secure and reliable, whether you choose to verify directly or through an authorised agent.
